Sorry this is late but I went out of town and blah, blah, blah. #excusesexcuses.
1 – You can tell that I recorded this early with every intention of having it done before traveling, but that didn’t happen. So basically, yes, I did drop the spirit stick.
To that end, we will also be skipping this week’s Segue Magic as we are knee deep in scheduling ALL THE THINGS in preparation for some more travels coming up soon. Please forgive us. Additionally, when we come back, Sweeney took me up on my offer and I’ll be manning Tuesdays, while she’ll be posting on Fridays. For a few weeks at least. We’ll see.
b – I cut a lot for time. Mostly gushing over the characters I mentioned. Particularly: Neville Longbottom’s arc and how much I love it; how much it hurts me when people don’t mention titular characters like Harry and Buffy as their favorites; Willow and why her low moments didn’t taint the character for me; Anne Elliot and why I am so happy I read Persuasion later in life; and also I clarified that I’ve only seen New Who so I only meant those Doctors.
cat – After watching this back, I also wanted to clarify that I read some difference between an anti-hero and a more traditional hero who just has a human flaw or two.
