Snark Squad Pod #025: Fan Identity & Fandom

Previously: We watched & loved Brooklyn Nine-Nine and also learned more about how to podcast.

Marines: This is an episode a long time in the making. Back when we did Segue Magic videos around here (something that truly lives on in our hearts and we’d love to bring back… eventually), we talked about our first fandoms. It opened up a can of worms, in that I talked a lot about not qualifying for fandoms and Nicole had a lot of feelings about how I was wrong

Three years later and on another medium, we are back to have even more feelings about fan identity. We’ve invited our most recurring guest (and good friend) Ceri Riley back to have all the feelings. Ceri is a writer and editor for SciShow and Crash Course Film and editorial assistant for Monstress.

This was fun to tackle, though we often found ourselves trying really hard to explore ideas and experiences.

Check it out!
