Snark Squad Pod #031 – Sibling Stories

Previously: We tapped an endless well of superhero feelings.

Sweeney: We’ve mentioned a time or 20 that this whole podcast thing is, in a lot of ways, something that we are making up as we go. Working on this podcast is fantastic mostly because it means that I get to talk to my best friend every week, but an added bonus is that there is still so much for us to learn.

We wanted very much to have our smart friend Tobin Addington on the podcast after I mentioned him and his delightful podcast on the Annihilation episode, and we knew we wanted him on one of these free-for-all topical episodes. We decided to take it one step further and invite him to join us for this vaguest of topics: sibling stories.

Marines and I are both suckers for sibling feels. It’s a widely used tag on this site. And we figured Tobin might also because, in addition to being an all-around smart human, film professor, writer for Crash Course Film, and countless other impressive credits, he co-hosts a brilliant podcast with his equally brilliant sister called The Contenders. I highly recommend checking out his podcast and following Tobin on Twitter.

With that, here’s the episode, in which we talk about our siblings and all the feelings we have about different fictional siblings:

Nicole Sweeney (all posts)

Nicole is the co-captain of Snark Squad and these days she spends most of her time editing podcasts. She spends too much time on Twitter and very occasionally vlogs and blogs. In her day job she's a producer, editor, director, and sometimes host of educational YouTube channels. She loves travel, maps, panda gifs, and semicolons. Writing biographies stresses her out; she crowd sourced this one years ago and has been using a version of it ever since. She would like to thank Twitter for their help.
