Snark Squad Pod #076 – The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness

Previously: We watched Men In Black: International and it was perfectly fine!

Marines: There are two reasons why this 11 year old book ended up on our list of media to cover: 1- I love it a lot and 2- there is an upcoming adaptation staring Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley. While that adaptation is still a little ways off, we are covering this now because it won a Patreon poll. Recently, we talked about coming of age stories. We ran a poll with a bunch of our favorites (from this book to 90210) (for real) and The Knife of Never Letting go won.

We invited my good friend Caitlin Vanasse to join us this episode. I knew Caitlin didn’t like the book when she first read it, but she’s such a good sport, she read it again for the podcast. Caitlin is the cohost of the podcast That’s Not How Science Works and can be found on Twitter here.

This is a divisive book and we had a nice spread of opinions. And by that I mean, play below to hear me have way too many feelings as I defend this book lol.
