Snark Squad Pod #094 – Last Christmas (2019)

Previously: We inexplicably watched The King and it was not our jam, so we had our smart friend just talk to us about Shakespeare instead.

Sweeney: Those of you who have joined us over on Patreon saw that we were planning on watching Last Christmas because weeks ago we were yelling about the fact that Tom (Henry Goulding) is, of course, dead in this movie, a fact that all of Twitter knew from watching the very first trailer. I wished desperately for it not to be so because I JUST WANNA WATCH THESE TWO ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE BE HAPPY AND IN LOVE. But alas. The truth could not be ignored away.

To talk through this movie about Christmas and grief and getting your life together, we invited our dear friends Sam & Rachel from the podcast Reel Love. You can also find Sam on SciShow Tangents and Rachel on Letterboxed.

Find out whether we were able to love this movie in spite of the truth we could not hide from:

Nicole is the co-captain of Snark Squad and these days she spends most of her time editing podcasts. She spends too much time on Twitter and very occasionally vlogs and blogs. In her day job she's a producer, editor, director, and sometimes host of educational YouTube channels. She loves travel, maps, panda gifs, and semicolons. Writing biographies stresses her out; she crowd sourced this one years ago and has been using a version of it ever since. She would like to thank Twitter for their help.
