Snark Squad Pod #102 – His Dark Materials (2019– )

Previously: Mari finally got to talk about The Witcher because Netflix adapted it!

Sweeney: A podcast highlight of 2019 for me was getting to read and discuss all 3 books in the His Dark Materials series (including some really lovely & thoughtful discussion on Discord!) and part of what prompted us to put that on the calendar – aside from my undying love for the series – was the knowledge that the BBC/HBO series would be coming out at some point last year.

Which is mostly to say that we have known this episode was coming for as long as we have known this show was coming AND NOW IT’S HERE. In addition to getting to share all the feelings it gave us to see these books brought to life (outside of the movie that shall not be named) we also got a big dream come true because our dear friend Jocelyn recently got a mic and was able to join us. In addition to being a childhood fan of the books, Jocelyn also shares all her many wonderful & insightful book feelings on Twitter and YouTube.

Check out this week’s episode to hear all the things that we loved and a few that disappointed us about this show:
