Sweeney: We don’t acknowledge it anywhere in the episode, so let me just flail a little here: THIS IS OUR 50TH EPISODE. This project has been the highlight of my 2018 and I am excited to see where we go in 2019. The fact that I now have a standing date to call my best friend once a week and nerd out about media is the best gift I could have given myself. Having dispensed with that, THIS WEEK we are discussing the HBO series My Brilliant Friend, which is an 8 episode miniseries adaptation of Elena Ferrante’s novel of the same name, which we discussed in episode 41.
