Snark Squad Pod #115 – The DC Extended Universe, part 3

Previously: We watched Justice League and it was bad.

Sweeney: We have reached the end! It’s always exciting for us when we reach the end of a project because most of our projects are so large that endings are hard earned. Even when a project is short, endings are so rare that they feel hard earned. In this case, I don’t think it’s just a feeling that the conclusion of this podcast trilogy was hard earned because many of these movies were very hard to watch. So, you know, please clap.

We recorded all 3 episodes, including this one, prior to the release of The Snyder Cut. It doesn’t really affect anything we say in here, but we do mention Justice League a few times, so it feels worth noting that we are always referring to the original cut. In case you missed it, we did a livestream discussing The Snyder Cut with Sam & Jess and came out 50/50 on “did you like it?” (You can probably guess the breakdown.)

Speaking of Sam & Jess: they are, of course, back with us again to close out this little podcast miniseries. You can also find Sam over on SciShow Tangents, his new podcast Kermitment (with Cooler Than Homework co-host Matthew Gaydos), check out his wonderful art, or follow him on Twitter. You can find more from Jessica in her many many recaps on this site, her horror movie podcast Macabre Bros, or on Twitter.

Check out this episode to hear all of our thoughts on the post-Justice League DCEU movies: Aquaman, Shazam, Birds of Prey, and Wonder Woman 1984.
